Bayon Temple, Angkor Thom – Cambodia

Once the official temple of King Jayavarman VII, the now abandoned Bayon Temple was my favourite in Angkor! The beautiful faces sculpted on the rocks that makes the structure of the temple are impressive.. well, it really took me by surprise!

    • I know, right??? It is really difficult to take an “uninteresting” photo! I liked all temples for different reasons… even though they are close together, they are so different! Angkor Wat is beautiful, but completely different from the Bayon or Ta Prohm… the latter with the massive trees growing over the structure… it is a pity that some of those temples won’t be around, I guess, in the near future because there is no care by the Cambodian Government, even though the country relies so much on tourism!

      Thanks for the comment!
